North Carolina Internet Marketing Consultants at AASB Productions Offering Website Reputation Management

The new AASB Productions website has officially launched and boy are we happy about it!  The website you’re looking at is the culmination of a lot of hard work by some really talented people.  Everything that has gone into relaunching our site was done line by line, page by page, and drop of sweat by drop of sweat. Having a bold, new look and a snazzy new logo is just the start; we’re now able to provide new services, cheaper prices, faster servers, and a total refocus away from developing websites to marketing them more effectively online.

As the great Bob Dylan once sang, “The Times They Are a-Changin’”.  This has never been more true than it is now for the web development community.  Just a few short years ago the biggest and most consistent challenge for a company like AASB Productions was to stay on top of new coding techniques and search engine requirements.  Every new method of web page layout or a new Google search engine criteria could keep us busy for months enhancing our clients’ pages and keep them showing up “above the fold” in a search engine result page.  We didn’t have time to worry about new and flashy online fads like Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, and Joomla; we kept our eye on them, we listened when people people would talk about them, but we kept ourselves busy finding and innovating ways to make our clients’ web pages load faster, show up higher in search engines, and look better than any other website.

For the last 10-years AASB Productions has successfully altered its business model to adapt and accommodate to the new and ever-changing world of the Internet for our small business clients.  We know you don’t have the time to consider the changes and opportunities the global telecommunication revolution has to offer, but we do!  We’ve been able to successfully adapt our business model at least three times in the last ten years to accommodate for these changes—and this reboot, refocus, and relaunch of our site is yet another example.

It seems hard to grasp that change happens so fast, but consider that only a few short years ago a website’s main purpose was to (basically) present static, unchanging information to its viewers.  Websites were more like a travel brochure or an electronic pamphlet that consisted of a few pages of words and maybe a picture or two linked together in a categorized order.

That all started to change around 2002 to 2004—and AASB Productions changed with it.  As database programming technologies allowed small businesses to create catalogs and shopping carts of inventory from which users could order,  we made sure folks were able to make purchases without having to physically visit a storefront location and could have those purchases and products delivered right to their doorsteps a few days later. Likewise, we showed our clients how to collect and analyze purchaser information and visitation trends in a way they never knew they could before.

But within the last three or four years, we’ve seen the most significant shift in the way commerce and communication is conducted on the Internet—web users are now able to not only purchase and download the content they wish to listen to, watch, read, or visit, but they are now able to share that content with thousands of people instantly via a Twitter hashtag or Facebook status update. And more significantly, any one of those thousand people can perpetuate that sharing with another thousand people (and so on, and so on, and so on).

This radically changes the way a business can market itself online. Small business advertising can now (finally) be self-perpetuating, virtually free, and not depend on a search engine pay-per-click result, television commercial, or print advertising see some measure of success.

Facebook, the world’s leading social networking website, has recently surpassed Google as the most used online destination on the Internet.  That means that social networking is now more important for you, as a small business, than how high you rank on a search engine result page.  Potential customers now want to “like” and interact with you before they purchase your products and services.  They won’t fill out a form on your website if they can “friend” and “follow” you for a short time to see if you are worth the expenditure or their time and potentially their privacy.

Keep in mind that  a 30-second YouTube clip, timely Facebook status update, or savvy Tweet can, if done correctly, draw more attention to who you are, where you are, and what you’re selling than a Super Bowl ad!

AASB Productions now offers an affordable Internet marketing package at a low monthly rate that will allow you to take your small business website to an entirely new level.  It starts with a website that is contemporary and relevant in design and function, hosted on a web server that can handle the traffic load, and integrated effectively with both search engines and leading social media websites.
